TREE TIME BLOCK OF THE MONTH BLOCK #3

BLOCK #3 IS NOW UP!  FIND THE LINK ON MY RIGHT SIDEBAR!  I am a little early, so I hope I can play catch  up this month and get my extra block done and have the next one the early part of April.  Then the next one the First of May and we will be caught up!..WHEW!
I tried this block also on a black wool background so you could see the diversity of the block.

I have encouraged you to change up the block, to "Make it Your Own".   I hope you will do this to gain confidense that your likes and dislikes can be achieved as soon as you know what they are!  It is amazing to me to see how my blocks just evolve.  Do you think I have them in my mind before they are on fabric?  NO NO NO
Maybe I have a symbolence of a block, but usually it turns out to be something completely different.  Especially since I don't like this or that about it and start to change a placement, a thread kind or color and then when the buttons or other decorations go on, it all just seems to blossom right before my very eyes.  I love that part.  It is just magic to me.  Maybe no one else likes what they see, but as long as I do, that is all that matters to me.  If someone else likes it,well, that is just icing on the cake, so to speak.
If you are trying out my blocks, I hope all is working out for you.  One quilter has had a problem with the pattern #2 printing a little bit too big.  Remember this is my first time with this, so one thing I am absolutely sure of is that nothing will be perfect.  If you do have a problem, please let me know and I will try to get it fixed for you.  I print everyting myself before and after publishing to check the size, but everyones printers are different and who knows what could cause a problem.  The Flickr group is coming along and I am so pleased with the uploads.  They are just great!  If you haven't been there, you should take a look.  Please add your block if you stitch one.  We would all love to see it (or them!).  If you don't have a Flickr account it is really easy to sign up and the site is user friendly.  The link is on my right sidebar under the block links.

My next post will be about hooping--To Hoop or Not to Hoop--THAT is the Question
Good-bye for now----GET THOSE TREES PLANTED!
