Pine trees are everywhere in East Texas, so I could not ignore them in my search for inspiration. No grass here as the grass won't grow under them The roots are often visible on top of the ground.
Instead of leaves, they sport some "needles". These needles cover the ground and prevent anything else to grow there.
The bark is a grayish brown and is very texturous (is that a word?). I did some simple Straight Stitch to try to simulate the look.
You will find the pattern HERE! or in the list with the other patterns on the right side bar.
I hope you enjoy stitching this last block. You have all been so kind to leave your great comments. I love you all for it.
Keep Stitchin!!!!

Another great block Molly. Like Tonya I kind of waited to do block 11 until you put out block 12. So tomorrow night, that is what I will be working on. Can't wait to see how you put it together.
Hi Molly,
Thanks for a great series of blocks.
One thing, when I printed off the last one, everything highlighted in green was garbled!
I went back and wrote in the stitches on my copy.
Wow, I am so happy to have found you! It was fun looking at all of your tree designs and they are so wonderful! I want to participate in your Boot Boogie in 2011! Will you give start up instructions? A list of things to be gathering for January? Thank you Molly!
Love your blog post on Stash Manicure.....and your tree blocks are wonderful....Thanks for sharing!!
Molly, I just found your blog through your post at Stitch Manicure and I love it. I have just downloaded all of the tree blocks and I'm really looking forward to your new blocks for next year. Thank you sew much for sharing your wonderful talents!
I came over from stash manicure. You caught my attention with the cowboy boot. Now I'm following along. I know just the perfect person I could make these for, a lady that I think of like a mom.
I can't get 12 to print to size, it's printing smaller.....it didn't have the print option that the others had, so I used a generic, right click then print.....
Molly - loving your tree time blocks. looking forward to next years boot boogie. I know just the Texan who will get the resulting quilt. :D
