I AM GROWING ALONG WITH TREE TIME

UPDATE!!!
YOU GUYS!  IT'S SO NICE TO BE LOVED!  YA'LL ARE THE GREATEST.  I PULLED THOSE COMMENTS RIGHT OUT OF YA, DIDN'T I????  THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY LITTLE COWGIRL HEART!!!!!  I blog for me, but you all know that we live for COMMENTS!!

I have had a couple of tips that the BLOCK6 link is not working.  I checked all settings and they seem to be the same as previous blocks.  If you have a problem, please let me know so I can continue to try to fix it.

It's time for TREE TIME FREE BLOCK OF THE MONTH!!  I hope you are caught up and ready.  I really am proud of this block.  I am very pleased with it's design.   I started this project to bring readers to my blog, but also to give me a goal--to help me learn what it takes to get a pattern to my readers and to drive me to design patterns of my own.  I am doing that.  They may not be perfect, but they are usable and some are enjoying them.  I believe they are improving also.

I am disappointed in the response, but maybe there are those of you who are downloading them and possibly making them and are not commenting.  If not, then I only have a very few who are interested.
I also have not had a very good response to my Feathered Star tutorial.  I am thinking that I will abandon that as it is so much work and I only have had two comments and those were very good friends.  Thanks to those who are enjoying my Tree Time BOM.  I really appreciate your encouragement.

Hi! I am sorry if you have been putting in all the work and not getting responses! That might be just because of the holidays this month or maybe the end of the school year. I don't know.
I really like this tree and bird. It is cute! I don't really do BOM's, but I do embroidery at times. I like to applique and quilt, but I haven't been doing too much other than a simple string scrap onto used dryer sheets. I really like your blog, and will look forward to seeing what you are working on! Don't get discouraged. Many times things take time to get noticed, understood and worked on. It'll turn out if you only do what you love to do. If you really don't love it, then don't do it. What you love will speak for itself! :)

I was looking forward to the feathered star. I had tried one once before from on-line instructions but had some definite problems getting the parts to all fit. My hope was that your instructions might help me finally be successful at this. I will wait to start it now until I know if you will be posting the remainder of the instructions. I have only just found your blog this week and must say I am feeling a bit guilty for not leaving a comment right away. I haven't yet looked at your BOM but, many people seem to collect them and use them later rather than actually doing them every month. This time of year is getting busier for many of us so that may be part of it as well. Ultimately, its your blog and your choice.

I do love your Tree Time patterns. You are very generous to create these for us. I have not started them yet.....I really must soon. Especially since you are going to so much work.

I have downloaded each month's tree and I am sorry I didn't comment each time!

I DO love them all, but I haven't had a chance to start making them! I look at the other great trees in the flickr group too.

I feel bad that I haven't chimed in more often, I know that designing is not easy and I want you to know that your efforts are greatly appreciated!!!!

Please don't give up!! I love your blog and your tutorials.....

Thank you!

I have downloaded all the tree patterns but haven't had time to do them...except for half of the first one. As for the feathered star, I do have a lonestar that I made awhile back (about 2 years ago) that isn't even quilted yet......so I am not certain I'd undertake the feathered star. It seems, though, that others are doing it...so I'd say to keep that up so they aren't disappointed. I have a very small neighborhood quilting group and am most often the one to plan and teach our projects. Sometimes only one of the ladies is able to attend and I still do the same amount of work just for her. It happens like that sometimes...so don't feel discouraged.

Aw, gee, I am one of those followers who is guilty of lurking all too often. I read lots of blogs, and find lots of great stuff, but all too often neglect to post a thank you ;o(
I have been downloading your tree patterns for a future project. I have wanted to do a tree quilt for some time, but had planned to design my own. Thanks for doing all the hard work for me lol

Linda said...

I'm another who has just lurked and not commented. I'm loving your Tree Time BOM and have them all stored away for future use. (Yes I really Do plan to make them)! LOL
Please don't get discouraged. You have opened my eyes. I will try to make more of an effort to post when I visit a blog.
Keep up the good work!

I'm lovin' this new tree! I have May's tree half finished!

Don't give up Molly! I love what you are doing. I know it is lots of work but it is the "process" that will allow you to learn in your designing and publishing of your own patterns. It is us readers who are the benefactors adn we just don't always take the time to say thank you!

Thank you! Love you my friend!

Please do not stop the feathered star and/or blogging. You give very clear and concise instructions that make doing that intricate pattern so easy.

I have just found you in the last two weeks and have even joined blogger so I could post you a comment.

Thanks for the work and the friendship you offer.

I am one of those bloggers that post comments sporadically. I ran across your tree patterns a bit ago and I love them! I have them downloaded but haven't started them yet. I have so many things going on right now that I haven't yet had the time.

The feather star looks very complicated but I have been looking forward to your tutorials. I know if I take a difficult quilt one bite at a time, I can get through it in one piece lol.

Hi Molly! It's always nice to know there are people out there sharing your joy and enjoying your blog; sorry that we haven't been telling you! I have also eagerly been awaiting each tree-time block; in spite of good intentions I haven't started them YET but plan to do so - my goal is to have them done by Xmas. Thanks so much for sharing this.PS Love this month's design too!

Hi Molly! I've been downloading the Tree Time BOM but haven't started one yet. I'm always drawn to trees and birds. Keep up the good work.

Oh! Oh! Oh! I'm sorry! I'm guilty...
I have limited time on the internet, and I'm always in such a rush to download what I want that I just forget about saying my thank you's.
Please don't stop your feathered star tutorial or your trees BOM. I am working on the feathered star [love it... instructions are so understandable and easy to follow], and I'm downloading the trees to start as my next embroidery project just as soon as I finish the bluework angels quilt I'm currently working on.
Thank you so much for the time you invest in these projects for us, and know that your efforts are truly appreciated... even if we forget to say thank you.

Well, here's a shout out for your Tree Time blocks! I came across your blog from a site that has your Tree Time Block of the month button. I down loaded blocks earlier but failed to leave you a comment. I just started to work on the first block today. Isn't it great the way God works things? I start to work on my first Tree Time block today, take a break to do a little e-mail reading and find your blog post lamenting the lack of response to your earlier posts. It IS because of the Tree Time blocks that I subscribed to recieve your posts on my yahoo page. So, yay! Mission accomplished. At least for one added follower anyway :0) Thank you for sharing with your readers. It is my intention to share pics as my project comes along...It may have been from one of the Assuie blogs that I found your button. It is Judith over at Creative Studio that has helped me get started on your bom with her early bird challenge:0) Here is a little about me. My name is Sarah, I live in Hope Mills NC, which is close to Fayetteville and Ft. Bragg Army base. Once again thanks and please know that there are many of us that appreciate your hard work. slj

Molly I'm one of those downloading the tree patterns but not commenting - I've not made any of them yet because of an upcoming mission trip and the need to finish some already started projects. But I'm saving them all in a folder and hope to make them when I return. I know they are a lot of work but they are wonderful patterns and I'm looking forward to making them! blessings, marlene

Oops - sorry - I am also guilty of downloading your lovely trees and not commenting - but I love them and am looking forward to making some as Christmas trees. We do get so busy - there is so much blogging to do - and it takes away from precious sewing time. My apologies. I will put your blog on my blog - check in more often and wish you a Happy Sewing day more often!
Take Care

Lurker here too! I want to make the trees to use as a holiday wall hanging; but right now am finishing up some customer quilts and a sampler quilt that I taught to a neighborhood group of ladies. And I have a feathered star top started, from years ago, and was planning on using your tutorial to try to finish it. So don't give up; and so sorry I've not commented before.

Hi Molly, I have been downloading your treetime blocks, but haven't started on them yet ( too many ufo's-lol)
I have so enjoyed checking out your bunny hill basket blocks ( I have them saved as well) you did a fantabulous job with the ricrac, I may have to try that too! :-)
Just love your Feathered star, please leave the tutorial on, I have always wanted to make this block ever since I saw a picture in an old " Quilt" magazine years ago (no pattern tho).
Maybe I will get to see your beautiful State one day, I have a couple of penpals one from Hearne, one from Thorndale, near Dallas. One of our dear friends lost his Aussie wife last year and has gone home to Texas to live, in San Antonio.
Please keep up the lovely, inspirational work, Bye for now, Sandy.

I am downloading the trees and saving them for the future as I am already working on three quilts. But I have plans for two different ones with your patterns. I like them because they are not the run of the mill Patterns. They are excitingly different. As for the feathered star, I never before could make out how the pieces go together. Now, thanks to you I do and in the future will use this also. Thanks for the time and effort you do provide for us to teach us with tutorials.

I just found your blog. I may have clicked on your site many times before, but I won't stay on sites that have music, slideshows, and lots of stuff that slows down computers.

You have lots of nice stuff to offer now that I've looked around. But it will take me over an hour to get finished downloading one item. Then it will be necessary to turn off my computer before I can visit another site or finish looking at yours.

I don't think everyone is aware of the difficulties that some people have viewing blogs.

Now having said that, I'm here, fighting my computer to leave a post and trying to take in all your lovelies. And they are quite beautiful. I was intrigued when I saw the feathered star on another blog, but when I saw the trees on another blog...omg! such beauty. And so very generous!

And please don't take my comment as an offense, just a comment on why some don't leave comments or the traffic may not be what you want.

Because GIRL! you have talent! with a capital T!

I may only get to visit your blog when I visit my son, so I can enjoy the browse....

Please don't give up on us slowpokes.
