A wonderfully easy recipe for you to try. This FUDGE PIE surely does satisfy your chocolate craving--you know the ones all quilters have?

4 T coca and 2 T. butter or marjarine

1/2 cup butter or marjarine

1/4 cup flour

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

Melt cocoa and all butter/marj. over low heat. Combine sugar and flour and add to choclate mixture. Add eggs, mix well and pour into a greased 8 inch pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve with ice cream.

This next recipe is more Chocolate and is written to be made into an ice cream Pie! My mother always made the crust and crumbled it in a bowl. Then she served vanilla ice cream topped with the chocolate sauce and the pecan crumb (crust) topping. The fudge topping is to die for.

ICE CREAM PIE

1/2 cup of marjarine or butter

1/4 cup light brown sugar

1 cup sifted flour

1/2 cup chopped pecans

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Cream butter and sugar with fork. Add flour and blend well. Stir in nuts. Spread very flat in a 13 x 9 pan and bake for 15 minutes. Take from oven and stir. Reserve 3/4 cup for topping. Press remainder on bottom and sides of 9 inch pie pan. Cool. Fill with ice cream and cover with topping. Freeze one hour. Serve with Fudge Sauce.

This is what you do. Serve a slice of Recipe #1 with ice cream----fudge sauce----then crumb topping. This is one time you will be thanking me and loving me for giving you this wonderful desert!! Try it-------you will see. Comment only if you try it!!
